The highly anticipated December 2025 roadmap for Xbox Game Pass has officially dropped. While the final month of the year brings a massive content injection, the announcement also cements significant structural changes to the subscription model that have been rumored for weeks.

Here is everything coming to the Game Pass library this December, the confirmation of the new subscription tiers, and the titles leaving the service.

Game Pass Premium & Blockbuster Additions

The headliner for December is undoubtedly Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. However, the official announcement explicitly categorizes this title under “Game Pass Premium,” confirming that Standard tier subscribers may not get day-one access to Microsoft’s biggest first-party hits going forward.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (December 4) Platform: Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S Developed by MachineGames—the team behind the modern Wolfenstein series—this adventure takes players back to 1937. Set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, players will step into the shoes of Indy in a First-Person adventure spanning the globe to uncover an ancient secret.

Mortal Kombat 1 (December 10) Platform: Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S The Mortal Kombat universe, reborn by the Fire God Liu Kang, joins the library. Featuring a revamped fighting system, new game modes, and the series’ signature brutality, this latest installment will be available to Ultimate and Premium subscribers.

33 Immortals (December 4 - Game Preview) Platform: Cloud, Console, PC A co-op action-roguelike that supports 33 players simultaneously fighting against massive hordes and bosses. This chaotic title is also launching under the “Game Pass Premium” banner.

Available Today & Coming Soon

Xbox is padding out the month with a diverse array of genres. Here are the other notable additions and their arrival dates:

  • Lost Records: Bloom & Rage (Today): A new narrative journey from the creators of Life is Strange. The story spans two timelines, starting in the summer of 1995 and jumping 27 years forward as the characters confront dark secrets they swore never to speak of again.
  • Monster Train 2 (December 3): The sequel to the hit deck-building roguelike, continuing the eternal war between Heaven and Hell.
  • Spray Paint Simulator (December 3): For those looking for a chill vibe, this simulation title lets you leave your mark on the world—literally.
  • Routine (December 4): A sci-fi horror game set on an abandoned lunar base, designed with a distinct ”80s vision of the future” aesthetic.
  • A Game About Digging A Hole (December 9): As the name implies, a minimalist adventure about resource gathering, equipment upgrading, and digging deep.
  • Dome Keeper (December 9): A unique roguelike miner where you must defend your dome from waves of alien attacks while managing resources under a time limit.
  • Bratz: Rhythm & Style (December 11): A rhythm and fashion-focused title aimed at younger audiences and nostalgia seekers.

New Tier Confirmed: Game Pass Essential

One of the most significant takeaways from the announcement is the explicit mention of “Game Pass Essential.” Starting December 3, three established titles will be added specifically to this tier:

  • Stellaris: The deep grand strategy sci-fi game.
  • World War Z: Aftermath: The intense co-op zombie shooter.
  • Medieval Dynasty: A survival and city-building simulator set in the Middle Ages.

DLCs & Updates

Current subscribers have plenty to look forward to regarding ongoing games:

  • Sea of Thieves (December 11): Season 18 launches, marking a return to “The Devil’s Roar” with new enemies and loot.
  • Dead by Daylight (December 9): The “Bone Chill” event returns, bringing winter themes and snowball fights back to the fog.
  • Palworld (December 17): The “Home Sweet Home” update arrives, deepening base customization options. It also features a collaboration with Ultrakill, adding V1 and V2 character skins.
