Steam Support is Coming to the Xbox App!

Xbox is here with its June update, rolling out a host of new features set to enrich the player experience on both PC and console. Key highlights include the Copilot for Gaming feature beginning testing on mobile devices, an aggregated game library, dynamic interface customizations, and the expansion of the Retro Classics collection for older titles.

🎮 A New Era for PC Gamers: The Aggregated Library

The most eye-catching innovation in this update is the aggregated game library added to the Xbox app on PC. Thanks to this feature, games from various platforms like Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net, and Steam can now be managed from a single interface. When a player installs a game from a supported store, it will automatically appear in the “My Library” section of the Xbox app. This allows players to access all their games from one central hub, eliminating the need to juggle multiple launchers.

🧠 Copilot for Gaming: Your Personal Gaming Assistant, Now in Testing

Testing has begun for Copilot on the Xbox mobile app, an AI assistant designed to guide players during gameplay. Currently available in beta for iOS and Android users, it allows players to ask questions about their current game, receive tips, or access tutorial videos.

The Copilot feature is also slated to go live on the ROG Ally handheld console by the end of the year.

🖥️ The Dawn of the Aggregated Game Library on PC

The “Aggregated Gaming Library” has started testing on Windows 11 and portable Xbox devices. This feature consolidates games installed from stores such as Xbox, Game Pass, Steam, and Battle.net into a single interface within the Xbox app.

Now, users with multiple gaming platforms can conveniently access their titles from different storefronts all in one place. This functionality is expected to be fully active on ROG Ally and ROG Ally X devices by year’s end.

🎛️ Enhanced Customization for the Console Interface

On Xbox consoles, the “Recently played” list is now more customizable. Players can hide system applications, pin their favorite games, and reduce the number of tiles displayed. These changes have been introduced to provide a cleaner, more personalized Xbox interface.

📊 New Game Hubs and Cloud Save Management

The Game Hub feature, which showcases achievements, friend statistics, and add-on content for selected games, is now available to all players. Additionally, improvements to the cloud save system mean that for unsynchronized save files, details like device name, timestamp, and a progress bar can now be displayed.
