Rainbow Six Siege Under Attack Again

Ubisoft’s popular tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege has been hit by a new wave of cyber attacks as of January 4, 2026, following recent security vulnerabilities. While global server outages from the previous incident were still ongoing, hackers reportedly began banning players once again.

Ubisoft’s infrastructure, which recently made headlines after billions of credits were illegally added to user accounts, suffered a second blow before it could fully recover. During the previous incident, hackers first banned all players and, a few hours later, distributed billions of credits to everyone. This time, hackers reportedly chose to issue 67-day bans specifically to streamers.

Many Rainbow Six Siege content creators, including well-known community figure VarsityGaming, were suddenly removed from the game during live broadcasts after receiving unexpected 67-day bans.

On Ubisoft’s side, no detailed technical report has yet been shared regarding the source or scope of the previous attack. As players continue to worry about account security, there is still no timeline for when the servers are expected to return to a stable state.
