R6 Siege X Launches Today: Operation Daybreak, System Specs, and All You Need to Know!

Rainbow Six Siege’s New Era Begins: R6 Siege X Launches Today!

Ubisoft’s popular tactical shooter, Rainbow Six Siege, is ushering in a major transformation with R6 Siege X, launching today across all platforms alongside Season 2, “Operation Daybreak.” This new era introduces significant updates and innovations to the game, while ensuring all existing player progression is preserved.

Maintenance Schedule and Release Details

The R6 Siege X update will become accessible on all platforms following a maintenance period scheduled to begin on June 10, 2025, at 14:00 GMT. The maintenance is expected to last approximately 90 minutes (though, if past Ubisoft launches are anything to go by, perhaps keep a drink handy). Maintenance is currently underway.

Platforms and Important Notes

R6 Siege X is launching on PC (via Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store, and Steam), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Ubisoft+ subscribers will also have access to the new version.

However, it’s been confirmed that the newly added “Dual Front” game mode will not be supported on previous-generation consoles, namely PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Information for Existing Players

All players who have played the game before June 10th will have their existing progression, operators, and inventory seamlessly transferred to the new version. To thank long-standing players, Ubisoft has announced they will be distributing “Veteran Rewards,” with tiers increasing based on how long players have owned the game. These rewards will be automatically added to inventories upon logging in after the maintenance.
