PUBG: Black Budget Announced: Closed Alpha Test Incoming December 2025!
PUBG Studios has officially unveiled its latest tactical extraction shooter, PUBG: Black Budget. Developed under KRAFTON, the game opens up for PC players with a closed alpha test this December 2025.
The test runs over two weekends: December 12-14 and December 19-21. Steam users in North America, Europe, and Asia can participate, with support for English, Korean, Russian, and Chinese languages. It’s FPP-only (first-person perspective) during this alpha phase.
Players can apply via the game’s Steam page. Invited participants will get separate notifications. For guaranteed access, tune into Twitch streams during the test and snag keys via Twitch Drops.
What Does the Game Offer?
PUBG: Black Budget is a tense FPP extraction shooter centered on survival, tension, and the unknown. You’ll step into the boots of a hardened Contractor on a remote island, hired for a black-ops mission.
The island is locked in a time loop, ravaged by a supernatural phenomenon called the Anomaly. Your objective: extract top-secret tech from an abandoned research facility and uncover the truth behind the “SAPIENS” black-budget project.
- 2.5 × 2.5 km open-world island (varied biomes, points of interest, and underground facilities)
- Up to 30-minute sessions blending exploration, combat, and extraction
- Persistent inventory: Keep what you extract, lose what you bring if you die
- 3-player squads with level- and squad-based matchmaking; 45 players per session
- Dynamic PvPvE encounters
- The Anomaly shrinks the safe zone, ramping up difficulty with each loop
- Three rival factions, persistent character progression, expandable personal base, and deep weapon/gear customization
PUBG Studios is running this alpha to gather community feedback and refine core gameplay mechanics. Streamers and players are free to capture, share, and broadcast footage during the test.
