The sequel to Subway Surfers, one of the most downloaded mobile games of all time with over 4.5 billion downloads and 100-150 million monthly active players, has been officially announced. Subway Surfers City will launch on February 26, 2026, as a free-to-play title on iOS and Android.
Welcome to Subway City
According to developer SYBO, the game takes players home from the franchise’s World Tour and into the heart of the Subway Surfers universe: Subway City. This modern, multicultural metropolis features four distinct districts to unlock and explore:
- The Docks
- Southline
- Sunrise Blvd
- Delorean Park
Fresh content will be introduced each season, including additional neighborhoods, characters, outfits, and hoverboards.
New Mechanics and Game Modes
Subway Surfers City introduces brand-new gameplay mechanics to the series:
- Speed Pads: Instantly boost your running speed
- Stomp Move: Perform a downward dive while airborne
- Bouncy Shield: Bounce off obstacles and keep going
The game will feature three distinct modes:
