BioWare Celebrates N7 Day with Mass Effect Series Update!

Mass Effect’s Future Confirmed: New Game Still in Development

BioWare Executive Producer and head of the next Mass Effect game, Mike Gamble, put recent speculation to rest during N7 Day celebrations. Following months of uncertainty about the franchise’s future, the official statement brought relief to fans worldwide.

Development Continues Full Steam Ahead

Gamble confirmed that the next Mass Effect game is actively in development, with EA and BioWare remaining committed to expanding the universe. Despite a turbulent few years for the studio, the team is now fully focused on the Mass Effect project. “We have a lot of universe to cover, lots of features to build, and lots of romances to figure out,” Gamble stated, highlighting the progress being made on the project.

TV Series to Tell a New Story

The Mass Effect series being developed in partnership with Amazon remains on track. As the writers’ room continues its work, the show’s place within the Mass Effect universe has been clarified. The series will be set after the original trilogy and will tell an entirely new story. Gamble emphasized that Commander Shepard’s story won’t be retold, noting, “That’s YOUR story, isn’t it?” – a nod to preserving fans’ personal experiences with the franchise.

Special Content for Fans

As part of N7 Day celebrations, new merchandise and free Mass Effect-themed content appeared across various games. Crossover items were made available to players in titles like Skate and Apex Legends.
