Bungie has officially announced the release date for Marathon, their highly anticipated new game. The extraction shooter launches on March 5, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are available now.
New Gameplay Trailer
The latest gameplay trailer introduces one of the many characters you’ll meet on Tau Ceti: Gantry, the MIDA faction agent. Bungie emphasizes that factions and their agents play a critical role in the game’s narrative.
The game features six different factions. As you complete contracts for each one, you’ll uncover their identities, motivations, and rivalries. Contracts, narrative items, and various achievements unlock new entries in your Codex, which you can view outside of your runs.
Collecting the colony’s lost audio and text logs, discovering cryptic graffiti, and investigating abandoned colony systems form the core of the Marathon experience.
