Is Titanfall 3 Coming? All the Details!

It’s been nearly a decade since Titanfall 2 launched. Over the years, numerous Titanfall 3 rumors have surfaced. From what we’ve gathered from reliable sources, Respawn Entertainment did work on Titanfall 3 at one point but later canceled it. However, recent leaks suggest Titanfall 3 might be back in development.

April 1-3, 2025: Not Just an April Fools’ Joke

YOROTSUKI_, a Twitter user known for leaking Apex Legends (Respawn’s online game set in the Titanfall universe), claimed on April 1st as an “April Fools’ joke” that Titanfall 3 was in development.

The same user later posted on April 3rd, clarifying that the “joke” was actually real. They alleged that Titanfall 3 is indeed in development and will be announced at The Game Awards 2025, with a planned 2026 release.

The leaker stated they first heard about this in December 2024 and collaborated with another Apex Legends insider, Osvaldatore, to verify the claims.

April 9, 2025: New Details Emerge

Osvaldatore took to Twitter to share that Titanfall 3’s development is nearly complete. According to their leak, the game will feature both a campaign and multiplayer modes, built on Unreal Engine 5, with live-service elements like battle passes to keep multiplayer engagement high.

They added that their source was “100% certain” about all details except the exact release date.

April 9, 2025: The Plot Thickens

Shortly after, renowned industry insider Jeff Grubb debunked the rumors, stating that Titanfall 3 is not in development and calling the leaks “false.”

Our Take

As much as we want Titanfall 3 to be real, it seems unlikely for now. However, we’re hopeful it’ll happen someday. EA has recently shifted focus toward prioritizing its own franchises over licensed IPs. Respawn, having spent years on Star Wars titles, might finally return to Titanfall once they step away from the galaxy far, far away. Until then, pilots, keep those jump kits ready—just in case.
