GTA VI’s New Trailer: Return to Vice City and New Characters
Rockstar Games has released a new trailer for its highly anticipated game, GTA VI. Alongside the trailer, significant details about the game’s main characters, story, and locations within the state of Leonida have been shared.
Story and Main Characters
GTA VI will tell the story of two characters named Jason and Lucia. The game will be set in Vice City and will encompass various regions of the state of Leonida.
Jason Duval
Attempting to leave a troubled youth behind, Jason joined the army, only to later find himself working for local drug lords in the Keys. Though he dreams of an easy life, trouble seems to follow him. His crossing paths with Lucia could either be his salvation or the beginning of an even greater disaster.
Lucia Caminos
Trained in combat by her father from a young age, Lucia’s life has been a constant struggle. Her efforts to protect her family landed her in the Leonida Correctional Facility, but with a stroke of luck, she managed to get out. Operating under the philosophy, “The only thing that matters is who you know and what you have,” Lucia now aims to achieve the prosperous life her mother dreamed of since their Liberty City days, relying solely on clever plans. Fresh out of prison and sworn to change her destiny, partnering with Jason could be a significant step on her path to this goal.
The State of Leonida and Vice City
The game will be set in Vice City, far removed from the ’80s but still America’s capital of sun and fun. From the pastel art deco hotels and white sands of Ocean Beach to the bustling bakeries of Little Cuba, from the knock-off brands of the Tisha-Wocka flea market to VC Port, the cruise capital of the world, every neighborhood will offer different experiences.
Supporting Characters
Cal Hampton
A friend of Jason’s and one of Brian’s associates, Cal prefers to spend most of his time at home, listening to Coast Guard scanners and researching dubious theories online. While Cal seems content being in America’s “low tide,” his friend Jason has bigger plans.
Boobie Ike
One of Vice City’s local legends, Boobie has successfully transformed his street past into a legitimate empire that includes real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio. Boobie is all smiles until business talk begins. He places great importance on his Only Raw Records partnership, especially with young music producer Dre’Quan, and his biggest goal is to produce a hit track.
Dre’Quan Priest
More of a dealmaker than a gangster, Dre’Quan always dreamed of breaking into the music world, even while making a living on the streets. Having signed the rap duo Real Dimez, Dre’Quan plans to leave behind his days of booking artists at Boobie’s strip club and conquer the Vice City music scene.
Real Dimez
Friends since high school, Bae-Luxe and Roxy, aka Real Dimez, have mastered the art of converting money extorted from local dealers into cash through provocative rap songs and a relentless social media presence. After an early success with a song featuring local rapper DWNPLY, the duo, five years and many tribulations later, is now signed with Only Raw Records, hoping lightning strikes twice.
Raul Bautista
An experienced, charismatic, and cunning bank robber, Raul is always on the lookout for talent that can bring in the biggest rewards by taking the greatest risks. He operates on the principle, “A professional adapts.” Raul’s daring attitude escalates the risks in every heist, and his crew will sooner or later have to either put everything on the line or walk away from the table.
Brian Heder
A classic figure from the golden age of drug smuggling in the Keys, Brian still runs his “operations” through a boatyard with his third wife, Lori. Preferring to let others do the dirty work now, Brian hints at his past grandeur by saying, “I’ve flown so much weed in that plane, I could have gotten the whole state of Leonida high.” Though he may look like a typical Leonida beach bum, he moves like a shark. He allows Jason to live rent-free in one of his properties, provided Jason helps with local “collection” jobs and occasionally stops by for Lori’s homemade sangrias.
