Football Manager 26 Pre-Orders Go Live, Revealing Price and a Completely Overhauled UI
Following the major announcement of its switch to the Unity engine, Football Manager 26 is now officially available for pre-order. A detailed new video showcases the game’s pricing and, more importantly, a radical redesign of its user interface.
FM 26 Price and Pre-Order Details
Football Manager 26 is priced at $59.99 USD on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Xbox. Players who pre-order can take advantage of a 10% launch discount, bringing the price down to $53.99. This promotional offer is slated to end on November 4, 2025.
A Fresh Interface for a New Era
The reveal video highlights what might be the most significant change in FM 26: the user interface. The classic vertical sidebar, a staple of the series for years, has been completely replaced. Here are the key features of the new design:
- New Navigation Bar: All primary tabs (Squad, Tactics, Recruitment, etc.) are now located at the top of the screen. Hovering over them reveals sub-menus, allowing for faster and more fluid navigation.
- The “Portal”: Your New Hub: The home screen is now called the “Portal,” a modern, card-based hub. All critical information—inbox, news, fixtures, team reports, and the calendar—is consolidated on these cards, providing an at-a-glance overview of your club without needing to jump between menus.
- Customizable Bookmarks: You can now pin your most-used screens to a customizable bookmark bar. Whether you live in the transfer market or the tactics screen, your favorite pages are always just one click away.
- Enhanced Search & ‘FMpedia’: The search function has evolved into a comprehensive guide. The new “FMpedia” feature offers detailed explanations of game mechanics, football terminology, and tactics, serving as an invaluable tool for newcomers and returning veterans alike.
With these sweeping changes, Sports Interactive aims to preserve Football Manager’s famous depth while offering a more modern, intuitive, and accessible experience. It’s an ambitious goal for the veteran studio. For more on FM 26’s new match engine and system requirements, check out our previous coverage here.
