Fire Shock at Rockstar North Office

Busy hours were experienced this morning at the Edinburgh office of Rockstar North, the main studio behind the world’s most anticipated game, Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6). It was reported that an explosion occurred and a fire broke out at the studio building located near Holyrood Road in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland.

The incident occurred around 05:00 AM local time. According to information obtained from Scottish sources, an explosion occurring in the building’s boiler room caused the fire alarm to trigger.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) quickly arrived at the scene and intervened. In a statement, it was said, “We received a call at 05:02 this morning. We dispatched three pumps and four specialist appliances to the scene.”

Details of the Incident

According to reports from the area, the explosion is thought to have occurred in the office’s boiler room. Fortunately, since the incident happened in the very early hours of the morning, it is estimated that no one was in the office. Authorities confirmed that there were no injuries or loss of life.

Police teams cordoned off the area around the building and closed part of the road to traffic. Fire crews worked for hours to secure structural damage in the building. It was stated that crews left the scene at 09:21 after about four hours of work.

It is not yet known whether this sad event will affect the release schedule of GTA 6, which is currently nearing the end of its development phase. No official statement has yet been made by Rockstar Games, but serious disruption to the development process of GTA VI is not expected.

We will continue to follow developments closely.
