Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Celebrates 5 Million Sales with Major Free Update
Sandfall Interactive has announced a massive free update for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, one of the year’s most successful titles. The game, which launched in April, has sold 5 million copies worldwide and is getting a substantial content drop to celebrate this milestone.
Major Success Rewarded with New Content
The development team revealed that this free update will be available across all platforms as a thank you to the community. Beyond the impressive sales figures, composer Lorien Testard’s original soundtrack has surpassed 333 million streams since release.
The celebratory update packs a substantial amount of new content for players:
- New playable environment: A brand-new location for Expedition 33 characters featuring fresh enemy encounters and surprises to discover
- Challenging new boss battles: End-game content designed for veteran players
- New costumes: Additional customization options for every character
- Expanded language support: The update adds Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, bringing the total number of supported languages to 19
Sandfall Interactive expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming community support, highlighting the fan-created artwork, cosplays, and stories that have resonated with the development team. The studio also teased that more content is in the works beyond this update.
