Battlefield 6 Marks the Most Successful Launch in Franchise History
Battlefield 6 has achieved the biggest opening in the series’ storied history. The game shattered all-time franchise sales records by selling over 7 million copies within the first three days of its launch.
Following an open beta in August that exceeded expectations, the game’s launch weekend saw players engage in over 172 million matches. Furthermore, it accumulated more than 15 million hours watched across streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube, setting a new concurrent player record for the Battlefield franchise.
Shaped by Community Feedback
Battlefield General Manager Byron Beede extended his thanks to the players, stating: “Battlefield 6 was built with our fans. From the initial concept through to the implementation of Battlefield Labs and into the record-shattering Open Beta, we have been obsessed with player feedback.”
Vince Zampella, Executive Vice President, also expressed his gratitude to the development studios and the passionate community, teasing that more content is on the way in the coming weeks.
New Content is on the Horizon
The game offers a comprehensive experience with new multiplayer modes, a cinematic single-player campaign, and the return of the fan-favorite Portal mode. The first wave of post-launch content, Season 1: “Rogue Ops,” is set to release on October 28. This update will introduce the Blackwell Fields map, designed for all-out warfare, and a new intense 4v4 game mode.
